About Us
Who We Are
Adita Women Farmland is a women-centered agricultural initiative committed to transforming rural livelihoods through sustainable farming and inclusive dairy production. We believe that empowering women with the tools, knowledge, and resources to manage their land and livestock is the key to achieving food security, economic independence, and community resilience.
Our Mission
To empower women farmers with sustainable agricultural practices, livestock ownership opportunities, and guaranteed market access, turning smallholder farms into profitable, climate-resilient enterprises that nourish families and strengthen communities.
Our Vision
A thriving ecosystem where women lead the future of agriculture, cultivating healthy soils, producing nutritious foods, and driving rural prosperity through crop and dairy value chains.
What We Do
1. Farmland Sustainability Programs
We run comprehensive programs designed to help women transition from subsistence to sustainable, market-driven farming:
Climate-Smart Training: Hands-on lessons in soil conservation, water harvesting, crop rotation, and organic farming
Agroecology & Regenerative Practices: Building soil health, promoting biodiversity, and using eco-friendly tools
Post-Harvest Handling: Reducing food waste through proper drying, storage, and preservation techniques
Financial Literacy: Supporting women with cooperative models, microloans, and training to manage farm finances
Market Access: Connecting farmers to buyers and enabling them to sell produce at competitive prices
2. Women’s Dairy Empowerment & Buy-Back Model
Beyond crop farming, we’re creating a women-driven dairy value chain:
Providing women farmers with high-quality dairy cows and veterinary support
Offering training in dairy management, milk hygiene, and animal nutrition
Running a milk buy-back program, ensuring farmers have a guaranteed market for their produce
Processing milk into nutritious yoghurt and value-added dairy products that benefit local communities
Reinvesting profits into expanding livestock access and scaling up women’s participation in dairy farming
3. Integrating Crops and Dairy for Resilient Farming
Our unique model connects farmland sustainability with dairy production:
Crop residues are used as cattle feed, lowering farm costs
Manure from dairy farming naturally enriches soil for crop production
Diversified farming boosts household nutrition and income stability
Our Impact
Through our combined farmland and dairy initiatives, we aim to:
Empower 1,000+ women farmers with sustainable agricultural skills
Improve child nutrition with fortified porridge and dairy products
Reduce food waste through efficient processing and preservation
Build a resilient women-led agricultural ecosystem in Kajiado County and beyond
